Meg Ormiston | Transforming Teaching Today

Tech Camp

Tech Camp for 21st Century Teachers

Please note: It is recommended that you sign up quickly because space is very limited. These courses usually sell out, and Meg is only offering three weeks for graduate credit this year, rather than the usual eight weeks.

Each participant will spend the week engaged with powerful Web 2.0 tools, 21st Century teaching strategies, multimedia, and curriculum resources to use with students.

Teachers will complete a comprehensive unit, multimedia projects, and a digital filing cabinet filled with resources to use throughout the year. Meg serves as a coach, guide and facilitator as each participant creates what they need for a successful school year.

Each participant develops custom projects, so bring your ideas and we will turn them into reality! This is a hands-on week, tailored to individual needs. Class times will vary by location, but plan on a full day starting about 8:30 and ending about 4:30. Three graduate credit hours from Aurora University will be offered for an additional fee, with CPDU’s for other participants.

Here are a few comments from past participants:

Meg was awesome! I am a beginner with technology and I learned so much from this class. There is stuff out there I did not even know existed. I am so excited now about really diving into technology with my classroom. Meg you are outstanding! Clearly!

Meg gave me so much insight into new ways to incorporate technology into my classroom

Hands –on learning – we had time in class to do what she taught. Small group discussions & projects

Everything Meg demonstrated she had us try on our computers & then apply to our final projects

Active participation in creating files and a planning guide

Meg gave us time to explore. She was supportive and sensitive to our needs. She made it fun!

Meg is terrific! She is so knowledgeable, creative, and helpful

I wish it could have been longer. I would have loved to keep going.

The class was awesome – Don’t change a thing!
